How Many Treatments Will I Need?
Patients can greatly benefit from doing a series of five or six treatments spaced three to four weeks apart. We do offer a discounted laser package for four treatments. Some patients will alternate other treatments with the laser depending on their concerns. Maintenance laser treatments can be done every other month or every few months to help maintain new collagen growth and brighter skin tone.
What Results Will I See?
Patients will experience a glow to their skin and their skin will appear brighter and softer. Patients will also experience textural improvements such as lessening of fine lines, wrinkles, reduction in pore size, and improvement in superficial scars. This treatment is preventative as well as restorative, and it is a great introductory laser for patients who do not need more intensive treatments or want to avoid extended downtime.
Is There Any Downtime?
This laser has minimal downtime for one or two days of redness. Patients should avoid exercise during this time. Patients are able to apply mineral make-up the next day if needed. After the redness fades, your skin will feel rough to the touch, almost like sandpaper. No one will notice this on your skin, but when you touch or cleanse your skin you will feel this change. This may last up to three to five days. Patients can work and do normal activities during this stage. By day seven, the skin will appear healthy, luminous and rejuvenated. Over the next few weeks results will continue to improve.
What Other Treatments Can Be Combined with Clear + Brilliant?
Depending on the patient’s concern or overall goals, this treatment is great when combined a few weeks apart with various anti-aging therapies and well as tightening and injectable procedures such as Ultherapy, Thermage, Botox, and fillers. Patients can also see dramatic improvement by alternating MicroPeel with DermaSweep and laser resurfacing as part of their treatment regimen. Clear + Brilliant is a great beginner laser resurfacing treatment prior to fractionated C02 laser to prep the skin or can be used as a maintenance laser after fractionated C02 to continue to help build upon the deeper results achieved with more aggressive laser resurfacing. Combination therapy can help further correct damage and reveal healthier, more youthful skin.
