Stem cell PRP is an effective option for regrowing hair using your own blood plasma.
Stem cell/platelet-rich plasma (PRP) hair loss treatment is an innovative, non-invasive hair regrowth therapy. This procedure utilizes a very concentrated source of your own blood plasma enriched with vital growth factors and proteins to heal damaged hair follicles, regenerate scalp tissue, and stimulate the hair follicles in order to produce healthier, thicker and fuller hair.
If you have been diagnosed with female or male pattern hair loss, you may be a good candidate for treatment. Your physician will decide if you can potentially benefit from stem cell hair loss treatments.
PRP is harvested from your own blood draw, and done here in our office immediately before the procedure. Your blood is then spun in a centrifuge, which separates out the stem cells. The stem cells are then injected into the scalp in the areas of thinning, in a 60-minute appointment for total treatment. As a result, decreased/slower hair loss occurs and in most cases, re-growth of hair is noted. Discomfort is minimal, however, some may experience more sensitivity than others.
When hair follicles are no longer viable and no longer produce hair, PRP cannot regrow hair. The treatment goal is to help stop the process of hair thinning (miniaturization). The increased blood supply and natural responses to the introduction of the PRP into the scalp help revive thinning hair. The earlier you begin treatment when you notice thinning, the better your long-term potential for success.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
