SkinPen microneedling creates new collagen and elastin production to treat a variety of skin issues, and can be combined with exosomes and PRP for enhanced results.
SkinPen is a state-of-the-art, FDA-approved precision microneedling device. It is used by leading healthcare providers to rejuvenate from the inside out for younger looking skin.
The treatment utilizes micro-needles to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. The new collagen production created by SkinPen helps with acne scars, hyperpigmentation, stretch marks, skin texture, fine lines and wrinkles. These micro-channels also allow topical serums, gels and creams to be absorbed more effectively, thereby enhancing the effects in the deeper layers of the skin.
SkinPen is versatile for all types of skin and can be customized according to your unique skin type for effectiveness. The addition of exosomes or PRP to the treatments enhances the results.

Prior to the treatment, a topical numbing cream is applied for 15-30 minutes. A thin layer of topical serum is applied to your skin and the necessary micro-channeling treatment depth is chosen based on your needs and skin type. The device is gently glided across the treatment areas. The treatment is comfortable for most patients.
The treatment typically takes 15-30 minutes depending on the treatment area.
Following treatment, you will be red for the remaining of the treatment day and the day following. Dryness and peeling can occur for a week following the treatment. If PRP was applied during treatment, you will leave the office with this on your face and be instructed to wash it off hours later. Therefore, after treatments with PRP you should go directly home after your appointment.
After the recovery period and into the following weeks, many patients notice healthier-looking skin, but the natural repair process of your skin will continue to show results over the course of several weeks and months.
The number of treatments needed will depend on your specific skin and needs. Typically, three to six treatments, spaced four to six weeks apart are recommended.
