During her training, she completed dermatology rotations at Duke University Hospital and the Durham Veterans Association, gaining hands-on expertise by completing the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) fellowship.

With a background in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology, Divine provides comprehensive care, including diagnosing and managing skin conditions, performing procedures like biopsies and cryotherapy, and educating patients on skin health. Her previous work as a rheumatology medical assistant deepened her understanding of autoimmune conditions and their impact on the skin.
Divine finds dermatology exciting because it offers endless opportunities for growth across diverse areas, including skin, hair, nails, and medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. The visible nature of dermatological conditions allows patients to see changes in their bodies, often impacting their self-esteem. She believes being able to help patients regain their confidence is incredibly fulfilling.
She also believes dermatology offers the chance to make a significant impact, especially with the continuous advancements in treatments and skin cancer prevention. Patient education is a key aspect that she values, as empowering patients with knowledge improves their outcomes and strengthens the patient-provider relationship. This dynamic field provides both intellectual and personal rewards, and she is excited to contribute to its growth.

Divine on her favorite skin care products:

  • CeraVe cleanser and moisturizer. They have ingredients like hyaluronic acid and ceramides, which help retain moisture and strengthen the skin barrier.
  • La Roche-Posay Anthelios and Black Girl Sunscreen: sunscreen is a must for me. These provide broad-spectrum protection and are often favored for sensitive skin. They also blend in with my skin very well, instead of leaving a white cast like many other sunscreens do.
  • My Aquaphor lip repair: I have this with me everywhere I go. It provides intense hydration and long-lasting protection without being greasy or heavy. it’s simple, effective, and perfect for daily use, especially during colder months when my lips tend to get dry and chapped.

Outside of work, Divine enjoys exercising, golfing, pottery and exploring the outdoors. She and her partner are on a mission to visit all U.S. national parks and have currently explored 12 of 62. Additionally, they love to dote on Charlie, their sweet cockapoo.
