Dr. Sonnier is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist with over 25 years of experience. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Louisiana State University and the LSU School of Medicine, and a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Sonnier completed his training in dermatology and dermatopathology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society of Dermatopathology, and a member of the Greater Louisville Medical Society and Kentucky Medical Association. He is also secretary-treasurer of the Kentucky Dermatological Association, Ltd.

Dr. Sonnier currently practices in medical dermatology, surgical dermatology and dermatopathology, with specialties in skin cancer surgery and the diagnostic evaluation of skin tissue with clinical pathologic correlation.
