Todd Johnson, MD

Dr. Johnson is a graduate of the University of Illinois Medical Center and has been a practicing general, surgical and cosmetic dermatologist for over 20 years in community and academic settings. He is double boarded in general dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery.

At VitalSkin, Dr. Johnson will focus on providing Mohs micrographic surgery, which is widely considered to be the most effective method for treating and removing skin cancer. Dr. Johnson is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Mohs Surgery and a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and Chicago Dermatologic Society.

Outside of the practice, Dr. Johnson enjoys conservation and land stewardship in Northern Illinois and the Driftless area of Southwest Wisconsin. His wife is a biochemistry professor at the University of Illinois in Chicago, and they have a 9-year-old daughter and two rescue dogs, Petey and Cash.
