PHAROS Excimer Laser Treatments

How Does PHAROS Excimer Laser Work?

PHAROS laser treatment uses a carefully-focused beam of light that is delivered to the skin through a highly-sophisticated fiber optic device. The PHAROS excimer laser system allows a medical professional to deliver high doses of UV light directly to certain areas of the skin while reducing the risk of exposure to surrounding healthy skin. Excimer lasers are a more effective and safer alternative to PUVA, UVB booths or topical creams for many patients. Clinical studies have demonstrated that the excimer laser system can achieve greater repigmentation in skin than alternative therapies.

Conditions Treated by PHAROS Laser

The PHAROS laser system is used primarily in the treatment of vitiligo. It is able to address the lighter areas of the skin and encourage repigmentation. The excimer laser system can also be used to treat psoriasis and some forms of eczema.
